Approach to therapy
Supporting Mental Health for Adolescence and Adults
At Safe Landing PLLC, my goal is to enhance the mental well-being of our clients through empathetic and effective therapeutic practices. Here, i strive to create a safe haven where individuals can openly discuss their challenges, develop coping skills, and foster resilience. I want to empower you on your journey to mental wellness.
My approach is rooted in creating an environment where you feel understood, and empowered to make meaningful life changes. Because no two individuals are alike, I take a person-centered, integrative approach to treatment. I tailor each session to meet the unique needs, strengths, and goals you require.
Effective therapy begins with a strong therapeutic relationship. My priority is to meet you exactly where you are in life, honoring your experiences and collaboratively helping you develop the insight, skills, and confidence needed to navigate life's challenges and create lasting personal growth.
What to expect
My priority is to create a safe space where you feel heard and understood. From our first interaction, you will enter a welcoming environment where you are encouraged to show up as your authentic self.
Our initial session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another.
We'll discuss:
-
what brings you to therapy
-
explore your personal history
-
identify your current concerns
-
your goals for treatment.
I welcome any questions you may have about the therapeutic process in order to feel informed and comfortable moving forward together. We will work at a pace that feels right for you, steering towards a joyful outlook on life and self.

I'm excited to meet you!
Welcome to SAFE Landing, PLLC! I'm so glad you're here and taking the important step toward seeking the support you deserve.
I work with adolescents and adults experiencing a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, executive functioning challenges, mood disorders, personality disorders, and family or relationship difficulties.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 2011 and my Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Lindenwood University–Belleville in 2016. Since completing my graduate training, I have become independently licensed to practice counseling in both Illinois and Texas.
In Honor of My Father, Charles Turner
It was a late night when I created the name and logo for my practice in honor of my late father, Charles Turner. At 1:57 a.m., as I lay restless in bed, I began creating what would eventually become Safe Landing, PLLC—a practice deeply rooted in love, purpose, humor, authenticity, and genuineness.
My father proudly served in the United States Army as a member of the 82nd Airborne Division during the 1990s. During his time in the military, he completed 27 jumps and was incredibly proud of his service to his country. Long after leaving the military, my father was diagnosed with PTSD, anxiety, and depression. His struggles were shaped by experiences that occurred before, during, and after his military service.
Unfortunately, my father did not receive the support and services he needed and deserved. At times, pride and stubbornness made it difficult for him to seek or accept help, and over the years, he became a highly functioning alcoholic. Ultimately, his battle with alcoholism led to cirrhosis of the liver, and he passed away on December 9, 2024.
His story is a significant part of why Safe Landing exists. I believe that seeking help should never be a sign of weakness, and no one should have to navigate their struggles alone. For every client who crosses my path, my hope is that you feel safe enough to be honest, vulnerable, and fully yourself. I want you to know that it is truly SAFE to land in my care.
In his honor, I hope you feel Secure, Authentic, Free, and Empowered throughout your journey. May the work we do together create space for healing, growth, self-discovery, and the courage to seek the support you deserve.
Dad, I will continue to make you proud.
Continue to rest peacefully. I love you.
